About Anna

I was 15 the first time a doctor told me I had aĀ chronic illness.Ā I share that not because the details matter, but because I want you to know thatĀ whatever brought you here, I understand what it is to have your body interrupt your life before you’ve even really started it.

I grew up to become a dietitian. Not just any dietitian — one who had already rejected diet culture, who believed deeply in anti-diet healing and body reclamation, who built her whole career helping other humans trust their bodies again.

And then my illness got worse. And I got scared.

Knowing better didn’t protect me. I got desperate enough that I set aside everything I understood to be true and went looking for someone — anyone — else to tell me what to do. I followed someone else’s food rules. I went on my first diet, the one I never thought I’d go on, the one I’d spent my career telling other humans they didn’t need.Ā It didn’t make me well.Ā It just made me meeker and more afraid.

I spentĀ time, money, and energy I didn’t have to spareĀ chasing healers, energy workers, practitioners — anyone who claimed to have the missing piece. I was looking for anything other than the plain, unglamorous truth: that I had a disease medication could help manage, and that the rest of it — the living, the eating, the being in this body — was mine to hold, not something I could purchase my way out of.

I still have this illness. It is progressive. It is not going away.

But I exist inside it now with a peace and a groundedness I didn’t think were possible for me — not because I found the right protocol, but because I stopped looking for one.

I want that for you. Not a cure. Not certainty. A way to live in your body, as it actually is, without abandoning yourself to find it.

I didn’t look up the details of my disease for more than a year. I was young, and I was repeatedly told it was ā€œa good timeā€ to be facing what I was facing — that my youth would protect me. Not knowing what would come next, and wanting badly to move forward in my career, I sped through my education so I could do the work I loved before I lost the ability to do it.Ā I never expected that fear to become real. It did. I built this program from the other side of that.
